Taxonomy
Arca (Diluvarca) sechurana was named by Olsson (1932). Its type specimen is PRI 2175, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Arca sechurana by Olsson (1932); it was recombined as Anadara (Rasia) sechurana by Woodring (1973) and Hendy et al. (2008).
