Ezonuculana was named by Nagao (1938) [Sepkoski's age data: K Coni K Maes Sepkoski's reference number: 159]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Nuculanidae by Vokes (1980) and Tashiro and Kozai (1982); and to Nuculoida by Sepkoski (2002).
