Taxonomy
Nothodipoides stirtoni was named by Korth (2002). Its type specimen is F:AM 65277, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is June Quarry, which is in a Clarendonian terrestrial horizon in the Valentine Formation of Nebraska.
