Temperocastor valentinensis

Taxonomy
Eucastor valentinensis was named by Stout (1999) [in Evander]. Its type specimen is UNSM 67201, a mandible (right mandible with p4-m3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Valentine Railway Quarries, which is in a Barstovian terrestrial horizon in the Valentine Formation of Nebraska. It is the type species of Temperocastor.

It was recombined as Monosaulax valentinensis by Korth (1999); it was recombined as Temperocastor valentinensis by Korth (2008).
