Plocezyga corona

Taxonomy
Hemizyga (Plocezyga) corona was named by Knight (1930). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is SL-1. Headwaters of Feefee Creek, north of Olive St. & west of Lindberg Blvd., 1.5 km northwest of Stratmann (Olivette), which is in a Moscovian offshore shale in the Appanoose Formation of Missouri. It is the type species of Plocezyga (Plocezyga).

It was recombined as Gamizyga (Plocezyga) corona by Hoare and Sturgeon (1980); it was recombined as Plocezyga (Plocezyga) corona by Hoare and Sturgeon (1980); it was recombined as Plocezyga corona by Wagner (2023).
