Taxonomy
Fimbria vernoni was named by Richards (1953). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is FGS L-93 - Gulf Hammock [Inglis Limestone], which is in a Priabonian marine limestone in the Inglis Limestone Formation of Florida.
