Taxonomy
Murchisonia (Hormotomina) linsleyi was named by Fagerstrom (1961). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 2.5 mi N of Formosa, highway road cut, which is in an Eifelian reef, buildup or bioherm reef rocks/lime mudstone in the Amherstburg Formation of Canada.

It was recombined as Hormotomina linsleyi by Wagner (2023).
