Taxonomy
Mesosaccella was named by Chavan (1946) [Sepkoski's age data: J Sine T Than Sepkoski's reference number: 791,914]. It is not extant.

It was synonymized subjectively with Palaeoneilo by Ros-Franch et al. (2014).

It was assigned to Nuculanidae by Vokes (1980); and to Nuculoida by Sepkoski (2002).
