Loxonema spiraglobosum was named by Kirchner (1915). It is not extant.

It was recombined as Palaeozygopleura (Palaeozygopleura) spiraglobosum by Horný (1955); it was recombined as Palaeozygopleura (Rhenozyga) spiraglobosum by Frýda (2000); it was recombined as Rhenozyga spiraglobosum by Wagner (2023).
