Bradysaurus baini
Taxonomy
Pareiasaurus baini was named by Seeley (1892). Its type specimen is BMNH R1971, a skeleton (almost complete), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is De Bad farm, which is in a Capitanian dry floodplain mudstone in the Abrahamskraal Formation of South Africa.
It was recombined as Bradysaurus baini by Watson (1914), Haughton and Boonstra (1929) and Lee (1997).
