Taxonomy
Crassatella kingicola was named by Lamarck (1805). It is extant. It is the type species of Eucrassatella, Eucrassatella (Eucrassatella).

It was recombined as Eucrassatella kingicola by Jung (1965); it was recombined as Eucrassatella (Eucrassatella) kingicola by Woodring (1982).
