Crassatellites trinitarius was named by Maury (1925). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Crassatella (Eucrassatella) trinitaria by Barrios (1960); it was recombined as Eucrassatella trinitaria by Jung (1965); it was recombined as Eucrassatella (Hybolophus) trinitaria by Woodring (1982).
