It was reranked as Yoldia (Palaeoneilo) by Meek (1871).

It was assigned to Yoldia by Meek (1871); to Nuculidae by Isberg (1934); to Nuculanacea by Ambler (1992); to Nuculoida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Malletiidae by Harrison and Harrison (1975), Pojeta and Gilbert-Tomlinson (1977), Hayami and Kase (1977), Vokes (1980), Fang (2006) and Scholz et al.
