Cardium jamaicense was named by Dall (1903) [AUTHORITY DATA: Date and genus assignment uncertain.]. It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Nemocardium jamaicensis by Woodring (1925); it was recombined as Microcardium jamaicense by Woodring (1982).
