Kapes komiensis
Taxonomy
Macrophon komiensis was named by Ivakhnenko (1975). Its type specimen is PIN 3361/1 (pars?), a maxilla, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Zheshart, which is in an Olenekian terrestrial horizon in the Yarenskian Formation of the Russian Federation.
It was recombined as Kapes komiensis by Spencer and Benton (2000) and Spencer and Storrs (2002).
