Psammobia dutemplei was named by Deshayes (1857) [DISTRIBUTION: Paleogene; Europe.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Garum dutemplis by Dall (1900); it was recombined as Gari (Garum) dutemplis by Woodring (1982).
