Taxonomy
Solecurtus vicksburgensis was named by Aldrich (1885). Its type specimen is USNM 644607, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Macha vicksburgensis by Aldrich (1886); it was recombined as Psammosolen vicksburgensis by Dall (1900).
