Taxonomy
Epidiceratinae was named by Rengarten (1950) [m. kosnik taxon no: 9288]. It was considered paraphyletic by Skelton (2013).

It was reranked as the family Epidiceratidae by Nevesskaja (2009), Bouchet et al. (2010) and Skelton (2013).

It was assigned to Diceratidae by Vokes (1980); and to Requienioidea by Nevesskaja (2009), Bouchet et al. (2010) and Skelton (2013).
