Taxonomy
Pararachnastraea owensensis was named by Stevens and Stone (2009). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is SJS-1211i, Conglomerate Mesa, which is in a Kungurian shallow subtidal limestone in the Santa Rosa Flat Formation of California.
