It was recombined as Terebra gatunensis by Brown and Pilsbry (1911), Maury (1917), Olsson (1922), Weisbord (1929), Anderson (1929) and Barrios (1960); it was recombined as Terebra (Myurella) gatunensis by Cossmann (1913); it was recombined as Strioterebrum gatunensis by Olsson (1964).
