Pitaria (Lamelliconcha) hillii was named by Dall (1895). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Pitar hillii by Brown and Pilsbry (1911); it was recombined as Pitaria hillii by Olsson (1922); it was recombined as Lamelliconcha hillii by Woodring (1982).
