Taxonomy
Stenothecopsis schodakensis was named by Lochman (1956). It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Lapworthella schodackensis by Landing and Bartowski (1996); it was recombined as Lapworthella schodakensis by Landing (1984), Landing et al. (2002) and Skovsted (2006).

C. B. Skovsted 2006Transversely elongated, pyramidal, and asymmetrically coiled sclerites. Aperture slightly undulating, and apertural outline oval or rectangular, commonly elongated transversely to direction of coiling. Apical end a simple cone with circular cross section. External ornamentation composed of well-defined transverse ridges with short, apically directed tubercles and about equally wide interridge areas with smaller tubercles. Internal surfaces covered with a finely reticulate pattern.
