Diagnosis

---|---|---|
E. L. Yochelson and B.L. Stinchcomb 1987 | Open-coiled, sinistral gastropods having a distinctly triangular whorl profile. Early growth stages unknown; body whorl widely open-coiled, the largest specimens completing about one-quarter of a whorl, and by inference the early stages are also open-coiled. Whorl profile that of an acute triangle, inclinations of inner and outer whorl faces nearly identical. Base of each face on interior flaring outward to form a narrow basal rim. Base of whorl on interior gently convex downward. Whorl profile essentially bilaterally symmetrical. Growth lines closely spaced on inner side of whorl and nearly vertical; growth lines on base curving gently prosocline; unknown on outer whorl face or crossing sharp keel. Ornamented on basal surface by numerous lirae. |
