Taxonomy
Rota martini was named by Langenheim and Epis (1957). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Holotype UCMP 37576, paratypes UCMP 37569-37575, UCMP 37577 and is a 3D body fossil. It is the type species of Rota.
