Taxonomy
Terebra (Acus) bipartita spirifera was named by Dall (1895) [DISTRIBUTION: Miocene-Pliocene; Caribbean.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Terebra (Oxymeris) bipartita spirifera by Dall (1903); it was recombined as Terebra spirifera by Maury (1917), Olsson (1922) and Barrios (1960); it was recombined as Strioterebrum spiriferum by Woodring (1970) and Landau and Marques da Silva (2010).
