Glycymeris trilobicostata was named by Pilsbry and Brown (1917). It is a 3D body fossil.
It was synonymized subjectively with Glycymeris canalis by Olsson (1922); it was recombined as Glycymeris canalis trilobicostata by Hodson et al. (1927); it was recombined as Glycymeris lamyi trilobicosta by Oinomikado (1939); it was recombined as Tucetona canalis trilobicostata by Hendy et al. (2008).
