Arca hindsi was named by Olsson (1922). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Anadara (Scapharca) hindsi by Oinomikado (1939); it was recombined as Anadara (Cunearca) hindsi by Olsson (1964) and Hendy et al. (2008).
