Arca larkinii was named by Nelson (1870). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Arca (Scapharca) larkinii by Spieker (1922); it was recombined as Anadara larkinii by Olsson (1932); it was recombined as Larkinia larkinii by Reinhart (1935).
