Prismatoolithus tiantaiensis
Taxonomy
Elongatoolithus tiantaiensis was named by Fang et al. (2000). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Zhe-7-4 (slice), an egg, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Qiaoxia, which is in a Cenomanian/Turonian terrestrial horizon in the Chichengshan Formation of China.
It was considered a nomen dubium by Wang et al. (2010); it was recombined as Prismatoolithus tiantaiensis by Wang et al. (2011), Wang et al. (2012), Tanaka et al. (2016), Skutschas et al. (2017) and Wang et al. (2018).
