Taxonomy
Spheroolithus jincunensis was named by Fang et al. (2003). It is considered to be a form taxon. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is south side, Tiantai Brewery, which is in a Cenomanian/Turonian terrestrial horizon in the Chichengshan Formation of China.
