Lucina undulata was named by Lamarck (1806). It is a 3D body fossil.
It was recombined as Lucinella (Paralucinella) undulata by Glibert and de Heinzelin (1954); it was recombined as Paralucinella undulata by Chavan (1951), Cox et al. (1969) and Marquet et al. (2008).
