Terebra (Strioterebrum) monida was named by Woodring (1928) [DISTRIBUTION: Early Pliocene; Caribbean.]. Its type specimen is USNM 369347, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Strioterebrum monidum by Woodring (1970).
