Taxonomy
Nyctosaurus lamegoi was named by Price (1953). Its type specimen is DGM 238-R, a limb element (Partial humerus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Right bank of Rio Gramame (Sphenodiscus zone), which is in a Maastrichtian/Maastrichtian carbonate limestone in the Gramame Formation of Brazil.
