Cosmatites sandlingensis
Taxonomy
Cosmatites sandlingensis was named by Kristan-Tollmann (1972). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Holotype H 38, coll. Kristan-Tollmann, Geologisches Institut der Universität Wien and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sample 40, East of Sandling-hill, Steiermark, which is in a Sinemurian offshore marl in the Alpiner Lias Formation of Austria.
