Achistrum (Porachistrum) was named by Beckmann (1965). It is not extant. It is considered to be a form taxon.

It was considered an invalid subgroup of Achistrum by Gilliland (1992); it was reranked as Porachistrum by Sepkoski (2002).

It was assigned to Achistrum by Beckmann (1965); and to Apodida by Sepkoski (2002).
