Achistrum beckmanni was named by Kozur and Mostler (1971). It is considered to be a form taxon. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Langobard, Köveskál, which is in a Ladinian deep subtidal limestone in the Langobard Formation of Hungary.
