Taxonomy
Theelia mesopermiana was named by Kozur and Mostler (1989). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Holotype KoMo 1988 1-5/IV-71 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rupe del Passo di Burgio, Sosio Valley, which is in a Wordian offshore limestone in Italy.
