Taxonomy
Paronaella botanyensis was named by Carter et al. (1998). Its type locality is S3-14-87-CNA-KUD-10, Sandilands Fm, Kunga Island, Queen Charlotte Islands, BC, which is in a Hettangian/Sinemurian basinal (siliciclastic) siltstone/limestone in the Sandilands Formation of Canada.
