Taxonomy
Pleurotoma militaris was named by Hinds, in Reeve (1843). It is extant. It is the type species of Hindsiclava.

It was recombined as Hindsiclava militaris by Olsson (1964); it was recombined as Crassispira (Hindsiclava) militaris by Woodring (1970).
