Taxonomy
Stueria elegans was named by Schlumberger (1888). It is considered to be a form taxon. It is the type species of Stueria.

It was recombined as Myriotrochus elegans by Schlumberger (1890); it was recombined as Myriotrochites elegans by Deflandre-Rigaud (1950) and Deflandre-Rigaud (1952).
