Morotopithecus bishopi
Taxonomy
Morotopithecus bishopi was named by Gebo et al. (1997). Its type specimen is UMP 62-11, a partial skull (palatofacial specimen with all teeth), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Moroto II, which is in a MN 2 fluvial-lacustrine sandstone/siltstone in Uganda. It is the type species of Morotopithecus.
