Taxonomy
Trachypollia aneureta was named by Woodring (1964). Its type specimen is USNM 643651, a partial shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Woodring Loc. 138 [lower Gatun Fm], which is in a Miocene marine sandstone in the Gatun Formation of Panama.
