Taxonomy
Phos golfoyaquensis was named by Maury (1917) [DISTRIBUTION: Miocene-Pliocene; Dominican Republic.]. Its type specimen is Holotype (no number), a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Tritia golfoyaquensis by Maury (1917); it was recombined as Calophos golfoyaquensis by Woodring (1964) and Landau and Marques da Silva (2010).
