Allobuchia was named by Yu (1983) [Sepkoski's age data: J Aale J Bajo Sepkoski's reference number: ZR84]. It is not extant. Its type is Allobuchia apiculata.
It was synonymized subjectively with Aucellina by Fang et al. (2009).
