  • Byssonychia was named by Ulrich (1893) [Sepkoski's age data: O Cara , O Ashg Sepkoski's reference number: 1046]. It is not extant.

    It was synonymized subjectively with Ambonychia by Vokes (1980).

    It was assigned to Pterioida by Sepkoski (2002).
  • Eridonychia was named by Ulrich (1895) [Technically, this should be Ulrich 1894, which refers to the formal presentation in Ulrich 1893; however, Ulrich 1893 was not published until 1895 and thus carries a later date for Linnaean taxonomy. ]. Its type is Eridonychia apicalis.

    It was synonymized subjectively with Ambonychia by Pojeta (1966).
