Taxonomy
Enaeta ecnomia was named by Woodring (1964). Its type specimen is USNM 643693, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Woodring loc. 138a [lower Gatun Fm], which is in a Tortonian marine sandstone in the Gatun Formation of Panama.
