Eodicynodon oosthuizeni
Taxonomy
Eodicynodon oosthuizeni was named by Barry (1974). Its type specimen is ROZ 1, a partial skull (anterior portion of snout and mandible missing), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Zwartskraal farm, which is in a Wordian delta plain mudstone/sandstone in the Abrahamskraal Formation of South Africa. It is the type species of Eodicynodon.
