Antijanira

Taxonomy
Antijanira was named by Bittner (1901) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr Anis Tr Carn-l Sepkoski's reference number: 94,524]. It is not extant. Its type is Antijanira hungaricus. It is the type genus of Antijaniridae, Antijanirini.

It was synonymized subjectively with Leptochondria by Newell and Boyd (1995).

It was assigned to Pterioida by Sepkoski (2002); to Antijaniridae by Carter et al. (2011); to Aviculopectinidae by Ros-Franch et al. (2014); and to Antijanirini by Hautmann et al. (2021).
