Taxonomy
Cheirodota robertsoni was named by Etheridge (1881). It is considered to be a form taxon.

It was recombined as Chiridotites robertsoni by Deflandre-Rigaud (1950) and Deflandre-Rigaud (1952); it was recombined as Paleochiridota robertsoni by Deflandre-Rigaud (1962).
