Taxonomy
Ophiomusium dizluense was named by Kristan-Tollmann et al. (1979). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Holotype V 98, Geologisches Institut der Universität Wien and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Nayband Fm, Locality 1 - Wali-Abad, which is in a Rhaetian reef, buildup or bioherm mixed carbonate-siliciclastic in the Nayband Formation of Iran.
